People who like this clearly havent played any serious detective game. This point and click linear bonehead game really doesnt come close to original professor Layton.

Very good quest, not too difficult, but rather interesting one.

I was expecting for something more alike the NDS versions of professor Layton game, full of puzzle and so, not this game that seems to be a copy of Phoenix Right...., it would be great if you get back your work as another piece of Layton puzzle game that you used to do, those were how make Layton famous, dont left them apart.

The game is very interesting and well designed, but since Ive updated to iOs 7 it doesnt start anymore. I have an ipad 3d generation. Im waiting for the problem to be resolved

The italian languages are so beautiful why dont here in this game?

Please add the italian lenguage because usually is difficoult to understand the lenguage if is only in english

This is seriously the best app Ive ever played. I love it, the gameplay, the characters, the mysteries. EVERYTHING. Please please PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL. I would love to see more relationship between Prof and Lucy. Also, make the sequel a little longer?

As a huge fan of the Layton series, I loved this game. Its a refreshing twist from the gentlemanly puzzles to the twisting crime scenes. The game was addicted and left a lot of possibilities at the end, and Id go for a Layton Brothers Mystery Room 2 in a heart beat. PLEASE, Level-5! Its been quite a few years since its release and there are so many things that could be answered in a second game!!

I just finished it and the whole story is amazing! It now needs more cases! I love it! The ending made me squeal, despising how the Prof was saying lies! And then the truth was just funny and shocking! But it really needs more cases! Like how these two personalities end up interacting, and how they fix him. I love it! Just not enough cases!

I bought everything to go along with it and solved all the cases... It took me a week because I wanted to strengthened my deductive skills for when I graduate collage to be a detective. I must say... Its pretty thorough, but I want a sequel. I know theres on one the 3ds... But those games for the 3ds are super expensive unless they are used. So I would greatly fancy a sequel, with more difficult mysteries... to test my deductive skills.

This game is one of the best ive played so far i absolutely loved it the art the music play together great even thought i dont like jazz and such music to well it helped set the sene for basically what they would provably play in a real life mystery room and i loved how the music would go from happy and cheerful to freaky and dramatic for certain parts and i liked the mysteries they were all challenging especially the last one (obviously because it has the most stars for difficulty) i liked how they had a whole bunch of different characters and how sometimes their expressions would change and also how they blinked i know it seems a bit weird me saying that but for a lot of games the characters never blink i mean wont their eyes get dry after a while XD so basically i loved the whole game

This game is terrible, Im afraid I have to agree with most 1 and 2 star reviews. While the drawing style remains true to the Layton series, the characters are just annoying, the "puzzles" unchallenging and the whole story a fiasco. Its more challenging to play "turning on the telly".

I am a big Professor Layton fan, so I was thrilled when I discovered this game. I enjoyed every single aspect of the game. The only problem is, whenever I try to play the last level, the app always crashes a little after the beginning :( . I am so upset because I really, really, REALLY want to know how the story ends. At first, I just waited until the app was updated, but that never happened. So, now Im writing a review in the hopes that someone will fix it. -Kristin H.

I love this game but please make more cases available for download!

The sides of the screen are cut off on both sides on the iPad, and it looks like its been happening on multiple iPad models for over a year with no fix. Its extremely annoying- I cant read the text on the arrows during a questioning session, and I cant really read the case file icons either. I sent a message to Level 5 support so well see I guess. I heard its fine on iPhone, and I really love the game otherwise so if this isnt enough to deter you, its worth a play.

This game is honestly the best, and I really, REALLY, would like a sequel to come out at some point! I kinda want some backstory to whos the mama to Alfendi.

This is the definition of "waste of time". I solved the case and still had to suffer through the speeches. If you are lonely because all of your cats either died or left you for a more exciting 80 year old, you MIGHT like this app for 10 minutes. Otherwise skip it, regardless of the other reviews.
