Ive always been a big fan of mystery games, and I tried out every mystery game on the App Store. However, this app was the best, with ABSOLUTELY STUNNING graphics and the same ABSOLUTELY STUNNING mysteries. I thought that the secret of Alfendi Laytons other side was great too! All mystery game fans would love this, and I recommended this app to many of my friends! I loved the pictures and the looks of the characters!! The style was incredible, and I wish that I could draw like that too! The colour scheme was great, and basically everything about the aesthetics of this game was totally FANTASTIC!!! The mysteries were even better than the aesthetics, and they were the most exciting and creative ones that I ever solved in a mystery game!! I especially liked "A Murder Staged", "A Kiss Goodbye", and the last one, "Good Cop, Bad Cop". The money I spent to buy this game was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Also, I saw in the other reviews that the English translation and the grammar was bad and stuff, but I think the grammar was slightly different because of Lucys accents. (Notice how she says aye instead of yes?) Everything about this app was perfect and absolutely stunning in my opinion, and I think that this app was the best app ever created!! IM REALLY REALLY HOPING THAT YOU COULD MAKE A SEQUEL TO THIS OR SOMETHING... Please?? Im begging you! (T A T) Anyways, I love this app, and I will forever.

Every time I try to start the final case it kicks me out of the game

Ive played the entire game and its awesome, so i wanted to play it again after a while, but when i open the app, it shows the loading screen, goes black and crashes :( please fix...

I would rate this 5 stars but almost every time at the same points in episode 8 and 9 the app crashes and after you re-open the app and get to the same point again it crashes. It takes numerous tries just to get past the crashes. Fix it and ill rate it 5 stars.

Not even close to the fun of the Prof Layton series where you solve numerous puzzles. This one is just filled with boring dialogue which can save tons of time by allowing more play time! Dont bother to download

I have always been a huge professor Layton fan and I loved this spin off game too! I dont usually write reviews for games but I felt like this one was getting a lot of undeserved hate. Part of what I love about the professor Layton series and this game too are the intricate and interesting story lines. Some people have been complaining about all the dialogue, story, and clicking but I think its part of what makes the games unique and interesting. If you were expecting brain teasers and cute little puzzles like the professor Layton games you may be a bit disappointed, I would recommend you try out "puzzle agent" (I loved it too: great story, fun puzzles, quirky graphics, 2.99) this is more of a crime investigation game, it is challenging, but the game also helps you out if you get too stumped! As always, I loved its uniqueness and the interesting characters (with written accents in this game haha) that the Layton games come with. My only complaint would be that I want more episodes!! I highly recommend you download this game, especially if you enjoyed the professor Layton games because it is uncommon for video game companies to create an IOS version and I would like to see that supported so we can get more. Sorry for the long review, I hope some of you found it helpful :)

This game is not about the cause of murder just the process of solving it. I enjoyed it a lot but I would like to know why the killer kill the victim kinda thing next time. I liked the picture and graphic, also the mystery setting of professor Layton. The grammar didnt really make sense all the time but you can still understand the story. I really liked the storyline and how every story in the end is connected, the characters have good expression and personalities. Id love to play more of it!

Pros: - Nice graphics - The investigation bits are decently fun and have nice, intuitive controls and adequate descriptions Cons: - It tells you in the beginning who the culprit is - No penalty for incorrect answers - Ridiculously easy: even a toddler could figure out the answers - Cannot question all witnesses. Only one, which the game handpicks for you - Cases are boring and simple and lack any depth. - The "accent writing" gets tiresome. "It were summat else", etc. Its not poor translation like other people are claiming, but its frustrating. Overall: There are MUCH better detective games out there.

I loved playing this game, bought both case bundles on the first day of playing, beat them on second day. Id love more updates and a chance to play more with these characters. Great puzzles, I had a lot of fun

Definitely a steal for the experience you get. Though not in line with the old Layton puzzle games (I somewhat doubt the lead is even Laytons biological son), the game itself is refreshing, and can be challenging to tackle but it really tests your common knowledge. There are reviewers who apparently have no idea what to do or says nothing makes sense. Everything makes sense, you just need to think. Put on your top hat and use your noggin! Though the lingo can be a tad difficult to understand, it truly adds color, personality, and dimension to the characters. Beautiful game that enticed me to play nonstop Gorgeous soundtrack that will stay with me long after the game has finished. A satisfying story and worth the the buy.

An amazing app with fun gameplay, witty suspects, and crazy crimes

How can anyone rate this game as good? It appears to be a poor translation with cardboard dialog. This hardens back to the very first PC graphics games. Nothing like the DS games. This is actually an insult to the iOS and especially the iPad.
